I would want to buy this bundle, but what are the books on sexuality and marriage doing in it? Seems like they belong in a separate bundle of their own (perhaps with some other relevant books from the same publisher, such as One Flesh: Salvation through Marriage in the Orthodox Church and Gender: Men, Women, Sex, Feminism [the latter is from Conciliar Press, but that has become Ancient Faith Publishing]).

Marriage and sexuality have a deeply spiritual mystique to them. We have the Song of Songs in the Bible and lots of analogies to marriage between the Church and our Saviour. Ancient Faith Publishing just wanted to address the subject, I guess.

Sure, I have no problem with Ancient Faith addressing the subject, and I agree that there is deep spirituality involved in sexuality. But Faithlife could have made a better choice of a bundle on those topics, IMO. It's OK, I know I can hide books, and I might buy this bundle anyway.

I agree that the mix is not likely to move the pre-pub along (though I'm not competent to say what the mix might be).

But thank you for finding the issue ... I went ahead and picked up the monastery volume.  Apparently she lives in Thessoloniki (sp?).

Given the Orthodox lean towards holistic non-analytic theology (I mean that as a compliment) this collection seems appropriate.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Without getting into theology, this collection of titles makes perfect sense from an Eastern Orthodox standpoint. I'd be happy to discuss it offline (email me).
