They've never heard of the Regulative Principle. Keeping the Ten Commandments is seen as "legalistic."

I thought that Seventh-day Adventist taught that keeping the Ten Commandments was "love".

Interesting, I think Jesus teaches that principle:
John 14:15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching..."
John 15:10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in his love.
1 John 5:3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,
2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
