controlling a presentation

My google pad device did not receive control of Proclaim from our presentation desktop computer today. Then I noticed that the desktop did not display our February 1st presentation. My other devices did so. Did something happen in the cloud to this? The last several weeks I have been having with control on Sunday morning. During the week doesn't seem to be a problem.

There were no known issues with Proclaim cloud services this weekend.

Then I noticed that the desktop did not display our February 1st presentation.

Did Proclaim on this computer show any error or warning messages? If the computer you're presenting from can't connect to our services then the remote can't connect to the presentation.

Yes. The warning was that this computer couldn't connect with Faithlife. How do I remedy that problem?

First I would verify you have a valid connection to the internet. Then try browsing to faithlife.com and verify you can connect to our servers. If all that succeeds and Proclaim is still unable to connect please submit the log files from the presenting machine.

Before I could follow your instructions there was an update, so I ran it. Now there is not a problem on the presentation device.

It seems as though we have problems with Proclaim on the weekends. It's been going on for several months. I've not reported it every time. Are you aware that many churches have a deadline for turning in Sunday plans by Wed. or Thurs. So that by Thurs. or Fri. the office staff can make sure the church is ready for Sunday. It seems as though we get updates and other things on Friday or later. That only confuses and causes problems. We are at the point of being more than perturbed and are considering other options for presentation. Please look into this. Thank you!

We really try to avoid shipping updates late in the week for this reason, targeting Mondays. The update prompt is at startup. Is it possible you're letting Proclaim run through the week and not seeing the update until you restart later in the week?

None of the changes in the recent updates should have been related to the issue you described. If you encounter it again on the weekend I recommend following the steps described earlier so we can verify it's not simply a connection problem.
