I just set up a reading schedule to read the Bible with some friends that do not own Logos, using the FaithLife Study Bible app.  They are reading the ESV, but my Logos software keeps defaulting to my preferred Bible (KJV) for my readings.  I would also like to read what they are reading (FLSB) without changing my Logos settings.  How do I fix this?

Hi Doug. Your Logos settings are connected to your Faithlife account, so they carry over to every Faithlife app or site that you use. If you don’t want to change your preferred Bible or Logos settings, you either have to continue switching to the ESV, or else you could create a new account that you only use with your friends and the Faithlife Study Bible app (this would mean switching between the two accounts, rather than the two translations).

I believe what you are asking is if there is a way to have FSB settings that are entirely separate from your Logos settings? This gets tricky, because the apps are meant to sync and work together (connected via your Faithlife account). You can open your Logos resources within the FSB app, and you can open the FSB within Logos, so if the settings had to be managed independently, it could cause a lot of frustration for people who switch between the two apps. An alternative could be connecting a reading plan to a particular translation, but that isn't necessarily better, either.

I'm sorry there isn't a better solution at this time, but I hope this helps in some way.

Thanks for responding so quickly!  Most other reading plans you can cange the translation one uses.  I think I can change it to ESV, but what about the FSB notes?

Sorry for following up with such a delayed response. Are you saying that you want to make the translation specific to the reading plan, or are you asking if the FSB notes can change translations?

    Is this what you mean?

Is the issue perhaps that your friends are using one of the FSB's default reading plans, as opposed to one that you created? If you create the reading plan, you can set the translation and share it to a group with your friends.

The FSB notes are a separate resource, and will sync with whatever translation you read with. Does that help?
