BUG: Scrolling in bibles is jerky, suggestion for fix.

I find that scrolling through bibles is not as smooth as it should be given my system specs.

This could be greatly sped up by suspending some functions while the window is being scrolled.

eg. While scrolling down in a bible text such as UBS4.

  • The verse indicator at the top left is being constantly updated.
  • The grammatical information box in the bottom left is constantly updated to whatever the mouse is over.

If there was a way to suspend these actions (particularly the second) from repeating until the window stops scrolling this would make it feel less jerky. I note that in non-bible texts where there aren't so many mouse-overs it is much smoother.

 

Test systems:

Vista Ultimate x64, laptop, Core2Duo, 6gb ram, ATI

Windows 7 RC (build 7100) x64, desktop, Core2Quad, 8gb ram, ATI
