Basic Searching

So I viewed the video on L4's basic search and performed a basic search on "purgatory". I noticed that the search doesn't populate potential matches as I type as it does in the Win version.
More importantly though, the results show up but do not open when I click on the article titles it only opens when I click the highlighted search word in the preview text below. in this case "purgatory"
Lastly when I opened the initial article it appeared on the right side of the screen. When I opened a second article it populated as a tab on the left where my search results had been. It would seem that each opened article should form a tab on the right where the inital article was opened?

That is because it is not the same search. L4mac does not currently have the "Speed Search" option.Heath Choate said:So I viewed the video on L4's basic search and performed a basic search on "purgatory". Same here, they only open when I click the highlighted words.Heath Choate said:More importantly though, the results show up but do not open when I click on the article titles it only opens when I click the highlighted search word in the preview text below. in this case "purgatory"
L4win works properly and so I assume this has not been optimized yet for L4mac. I imagine it is still to early in the Alpha to fix this when the focus is primarily on getting the UI built.Heath Choate said:Lastly when I opened the initial article it appeared on the right side of the screen. I did what you had suggested Joe which was match videos to the list of active L4 Mac components. Then tried it out. I
understand it won't be right but I thought posting here would be beneficial in getting those small elements up to speed.

You are right, it is always good to post your observations, questions, etc... In this case, I just wanted to point out some info I thought you may not be aware of since you are new. Keep posting brother [Y]Heath Choate said:I thought posting here would be beneficial in getting those small elements up to speed.

It's on the docket, it just hasn't made it into the Alpha builds yet.
