Bible indexes and library indexes

I believe the words in Bibles and the words in the rest of the library are now stored in 2 separate indexes. This is a great idea, because it allows Bible searches to be faster.

Does the "Rebuild Library Index" command only work with words that are not in Bibles? Do the "rebuild index" and "merge index" commands rebuild both indexes or are those obsolete?

"rebuild index" rebuilds both indexes. "rebuild bible index" and "rebuild library index" only rebuild the specified index.

My understanding is that the Bible index is always merged, so "merge library index" and "merge index" will both do the same thing: merge the library index (if necessary; i.e., if a supplemental library index exists).

That's correct, though it would be possible for the Bible index to need merging if the indexer were killed in the middle of merging.
