High cost of shipping

I went through all the steps to put the MP Training Manual for Logos 4 in my shopping cart - untill I got to the point of choosing the shipping.  I could not believe the cost for shipping.  For a $30 manual I had several shipping options that ranged in cost from $11 to $116!!!  Do the math, that ranges from over a third the price of the book to nearly four times the price of the book.  My wife and I order many books through the mail but we have never experienced shipping costs like this.  I cancelled my shopping cart and can't help but wonder how many others have done the same.

I have the same problem.  Living in South Africa, shipping contributes a lot of money the overall price of a book.  It is a pity that some titles are available only for shipping, although Logos has updated my license so that I can download it as well.  However, I would much rather prefer to only download and not receive the CD/DVD as well.  For example, I have purchased the Tyndale commentaries from pre-pub, and although Logos has updated my license I still have to pay the shipping costs too.  Money in water, unfortunately.

 

I hope they rectify this situation soon, although it seems that the problem might lie with the publishers...

Hi all, you might email the customer support folks to see if any other medium for delivery is an option... if enough folks ask, who knows?

I know this is under serious review by Dan Pritchett as there were a lot of complaints about the delivery of the Tyndale Commentaries http://community.logos.com/forums/p/9817/80572.aspx

The shipping cost to Oz would be fine if I could amalgamate several orders into one delivery.

I live in the UK and am similarly hit with high shipping and import costs. I guess the solution is coming with the move towards the option to download everything (I hope!).

For now, I have to be selective in what I purchase. For example, the Christmas offers for the WBC series and the IVP set were not quite as attractive when I added on shipping and import costs...

I am exceedingly grateful that the base packages are available to download and this saved me a not inconsiderable sum in upgrading.
