BUG: Selection of wrong Psalm from Go Box

With LES as my top Bible I expect Psalms to be selected according to the LXX numbering. Hence, I would expect LES Ps 17 to be NRSV Ps 18.

BUG: However, when I enter Ps 17:title into the Go Box, I am given NRSV Ps 17 i.e. LES Ps. 16. Should the title not be appropriate I would expect it to be dropped as it is if I enter Ps 17:0. Instead it changes the chapter number!

Note: If I enter just Psalm 17 it works correctly using the LES numbering

It also does that in PG and Sermon Starter. The LES bible's reference box correctly converts it to Ps 17:1 irrespective of preferred bible.

I note you have a user series for the LES, presumably with LES (Alt) as the second volume? If so, the duplicate books in LES (Alt) means you will only see one of the translations in a lookup.

"Psalm 17:title" doesn't exist in LES, so it's clear you're not referring to a verse in your preferred Bible. So the reference picker finds the first Bible versemap where that reference can be understood; in this case, in the NRSV. The reference parses successfully, so we move on to the second stage, which is showing the equivalent reference in your preferred Bible (Ps 16:title).

The reference input box's first task is to interpret your input, then convert it to the equivalent reference (if possible) in your preferred Bible. This is by design.

I made the comment wrt the first thinking it is the more desirable behaviour, because, in both cases "it's clear you're not referring to a verse in your preferred Bible" but we are referring to the correct chapter. Ps 152 is converted to the relevant last Psalm in LES (ch 151) and ESV (ch 150)

I understand what the system is doing. The reason I find it confusing/puzzling is that the notation Ps 17:0 - a common notation for title not supported by Logos simply drops the ":0" with no indication that it was invalid. If there was an explicit indicator of error on references that can not be parsed, I would find this behavior acceptable.

Question: When seeking a verse map that recognizes the reference, is Bible priority observed?
