music playback becomes garbled

For the past two weeks I've started noticing in our pre-service and post-service loop that sometimes the mp3 audio playback can start to get grainy or seriously garbled. I can't identify the root cause, but it clears up sometimes on its own or when i skip to the next song. I can play these songs in iTunes without incident, but something about playing them through Proclaim is not kosher deluxe.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

If you provide the name of your presentation we can take a look on Monday and try to reproduce the issue. Also, are you on Mac or Windows?

I replied by email, but it doesn't look like that makes it back into the forum.

We use a Mac Mini and the music is not uploaded to the server; it is local only. FYI I also checked all the wiring and reconnecting the audio cable does not resolve the poor sound quality whereas skipping to the next song will. Having worked with audio enough in my life, this kind of quality issue sounds like a decoding problem, not a noisy connection.0 -
Good to know. I will try to reproduce here shortly. In the mean time, does uploading the audio change the quality at all?

haven't tried it. I didn't see a reason to push the music to the cloud when we're only ever playing it on the one machine

I was just seeing if there was any difference you had noticed. I have not been able to reproduce but I will keep investigating.

For what it's worth, I didn't notice an audio problem this morning.

We have just started seeing this as well. Pre-service music has become garbled. If I skip to next song it clears up temporarily. We have 2 service locations and this is happening at both.
