Most of the Classic Commentaries collections have gone for less than this. Are there any gems in here worth the $48 CP closing price?

Thanks.
Personally I think that this set closed on Community Pricing at too high of a price but obviously others didn't think so. This is especially true when you consider that two of the 14 in this set are in German which many of us will not be able to take full advantage of reading.
That means that the English resources in this set sold on Community Pricing for $4 each. But another way to look at this is that the current Pre-pub is now closing at $125 which is over $10 a volume.
Because of the price, I'm considering not getting this collection. It seems as though some of the collection upgrades are more than the initial ones.
William Kelly was a major Brethren theologian and he has a work included.
I generally have not found much use in the Classic commentaries... I own the original palms and provers collections and have found myself using them very rarely.. I also bought the classic Apocrypha set and have found it more useful, but mostly because Logos offers so little on those books. There are plenty of older works I do want but no idea if they will get made.
The Speaker's Commentary (13 vols.) I have looked into this work and found it to be of high quality, but it seems to be gaining little traction. I think it should have been included in Anglican packages to get it made myself.
A New Commentary on Holy Scripture Including the Apocrypha Is a smaller work but one I have not been able to fathom why this one volume has not made it through, Cheap and endorsed by C. S. Lewis as the best one volume commentary should be a grand enough endorsement to have everyone interested in it.

Well, I canceled my prepub before it shipped. Maybe it will be included in a future collection that I end up purchasing down the road.
Many years ago I personally knew Dr. William G. Coltman, founding pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church, where I was raised as a child and young adult. Many years later I spotted his commentary on Galatians in John's Bible and Bookstore in Detroit, Michigan. I did not buy it when I saw it, and have long regretted not having bought it back then in the 1970s.
When I saw Pastor Coltman's book was included in this set, I decided this was my chance to get the book.
I look forward to receiving all the books in the set, except the foreign language volumes. I took German in college but not enough to read such books. My preference would be to not include foreign language volumes in sets which I would suppose are being purchased largely by English readers.

Thanks for these. I've placed bids on both, although may have to drop out of the first if the price isn't lowered somewhat... Perhaps The Speaker's Commentary will appear as part of an Anglican "Collectors" base package??
