I have been looking forward to the end of March Madness all month. I was a little disappointed to find only four books in the final 75% off. Thy hype didn't feel like it matched the reality
This just means that you own the other Carson works that were offered. The page is set to exclude works you already own. Helpful for some, but rather confusing not known.
Yeah, It took me a while to figure that out, too. Waiting for the day when people decide other authors are more deserving of 75 percent off--like Keener! [:)] Speaking of Keener, I let his Acts commentary sit in my cart a tad too long. Apparently it was price-marked down by about 10 dollars too much than the 35 percent off was supposed to be. They caught it and now it is 72ish vs. 60ish (whatever the prices were. I'll leave it to some eager poster to post screen shots of both prices . . .) grrrr. [:D]
That's okay...just vote for Carson again next year. Things are sure to improve. [:P]
I voted for the other guy :PI was hoping for Moo however.
Something I find bothersome is that this title by Beale doesn't have a MM discount.
This was my first time participating in the sale and there were many more offerings than I can afford. I was going through all the offerings by clicking on the Logos March Madness under Products. I got a listing of 1,454 that are on sale. The ones I have purchased are greyed out. There is a problem with the pricing in that about half of them show the actual sale price and the other half show the full retail price, both for the greyed out and those that are not. When you click on the ones that show the full retail price, you are shown the sale price. I believe this is a bug and gives the impression that the book is not on sale.
Dale.
The March Madness discounts aren't being displayed properly for me. Is anyone else seeing this? Here is an example (these three books should be 75% off):
It's not just March Madness. There are several items that don't show the proper price and discount. It's seems to be random.
They don't show properly in my Wish List either.
Dale
I okay, though. Logos promises to take care of this by April 15th.
I have the same problem. However, if I sign out then it shows all the sale prices in the March Madness sale. If I sign in then some of them don't show up:
Never-mind, it still does it when I am signed out;it just does it to different books. Weird.
There is nothing wrong with March Madness. Don Carson always wins because he is a very favorite scholar and author of the general Logos public. While we old timers may own most of Carson's works already, there are hundreds of new Logos users every year who do not. Indeed, there are many of old timers who do not.
No point in me whining about the fact that my favorites are a minority choice. That is life. I don't like the way people vote for politicians either.
Congratulations to Mr. Carson. He deserved the win.
And yet, with all the hundreds of new Logos users who supposedly make up the Phoenix-like renewed interest in DAC each year, the number of voters somehow seems to remain oddly static. Even as the ABC (Anybody But Carson) sentiment grows louder and broader each year, the total number of votes remains about the same. Indeed, at some point...unless MM starts getting almost 10K voters per round...it will be impossible for DAC to keep winning. But the impossible happened this year with a literal "last hour" shift that flip-flopped the percentages.
He deserved the win.
Given that he was losing handily with just about 2 hours before the polls closed, that is a debatable statement (which doesn't even touch on the scope and credibility of his output).
