Intel Integrated Graphics

Anybody have experience using Intel Integrated graphics, 4xxx or 5xxx series GPU?

I know some software claims that it doesn't work well with integrated graphics. Intel's Processor graphics have made huge strides in the past few years - anybody have any issues?

Nobody? The latest versions are powerful enough to run basic games, and 4k video - should be able to handle Proclaim, yes?

Hi Chris. I've tested extensively on the Intel integrated graphics card and spoken with numerous users on the issue. The results seem to be about the same: laggy videos, audio that doesn't sync with the videos, or other general performance issues. This article has more information on integrated graphics cards.

I have not tested Proclaim on a NUC, so I can't advise you in that direction with the information I have. You may be taking a risk with video performance, including motion backgrounds, if that is the hardware for which you opt.

Do you know what generation of Intel graphics you've tested? Full disclosure, I work for Intel, in the Graphics team Our current generation hardware is pretty capable. I suspect I might have to put together a test plan to test this in house but was looking for any real-world experience with HD Graphics 5500, Iris Graphics 6100 or Iris Pro Graphics 6200 on Windows...

The physical machines on which we test with Intel graphics cards are from the 4000 generation. We've mostly transitioned over to Macbooks at Faithlife, so there is less opportunity to test on the newer generations of Intel graphics. We rely partly on information from our users, which doesn't usually specify the generation.

It's unsure if we'll have a chance to test firsthand on the 5500+ series. If you'd like to send some our way we wouldn't be opposed
