I was wondering if anyone could provide the Table of Contents for the two volumes in the "Vatican Council II: The Conciliar and Post Conciliar Documents" 2 volume set?

I'd like to see what all documents are included.

Faithlife, any way to get the Table of Contents included on the product page?

Thanks!

This is a somewhat related, but somewhat unrelated question.  The version of the Vatican II documents that I have in my library does not specifically give the translator.  Do you know if it is the Flannery translation, the Abbot translation, or something else?  I'm curious how different the translation would be to the item from Liturgical Press linked to in the OP.

That Vatican II Documents from LEV is the translation from the Vatican website. They don't list a translator there, but it doesn't match Abbot or Flannery. (And, I don't believe it's regarded as an "official" translation.)

Vatican Council II: The Conciliar and Post Conciliar Documents is the Flannery translation. Flannery's translation is well-regarded. It is probably the edition that is most frequently quoted (e.g., the Catechism uses it), but I haven't done a close comparison myself or read anything comparing it to the Vatican website translation.

Perhaps the bigger selling point for Flannery for someone that already has the other translation is the collection of post-conciliar documents that it includes to give context to the implementation and interpretation of the council.

Yeah, the inclusion of post-Vatican II documents was its major selling point for me. I already had the other set.

It includes Humanae Vitae, which I really wanted in Logos.

Thanks!  Now you have me wanting to pick up the documents of Vatican II again. [:P]  I do like looking back and forth between multiple translations.  And the extra post-conciliar documents are enticing....

I'm also wondering where the Vatican website got their translation. [^o)]  Perhaps from L'Osservatore Romano back in the day.

Actually, I just checked with my old booklet version of Lumen Gentium from St. Paul Books & Media and it matches what is on the Vatican website.  The copyright page says:

    N.C.W.C Translation

This unofficial translation is based on the Latin text appearing in L'Osservatore Romano, Nov. 25, 1964.

I'm not sure what "NCWC" stands for.

    National Catholic Welfare Conference.

Thanks.  That was going to bug me!  That sounds familiar now that you mention it.  It sounds like that was basically the precursor to the USCCB.

One of them, yes, as I understand it.
