incompatible with Windows 8.1?

In the middle of building a presentation, Windows tells me the program is now incompatible. What's with that? I've uninstalled and re-installed per phone call to Customer Service. I did receive an update late this evening but it did not fix anything. After the starting process is over I get a blank white screen where my presentation should be.

I'm not familiar with this error, but it sounds like it's possible that Windows has automatically applied "Compatibility settings" to Proclaim. If so, these are unnecessary and may be causing it to work incorrectly. Please try the following:

1. If you have a desktop shortcut to Proclaim, right-click it and choose Properties. (If you don't have a desktop shortcut, bring up the Start Screen and type in "Proclaim". Right-click the Proclaim icon that is shown, then choose "Open file location". Then right-click that Proclaim icon and choose Properties.)

2. Change to the Compatibility tab.

3. If the "Run this program in compatibility mode" box is checked, uncheck it. Click OK.

There isn't anything in the logs that indicate an issue. Would you mind taking a screenshot of what you are seeing? This will give us a better idea of the error message you are receiving.

Thanks for the screenshots. Now I have a few questions: When you posted the logs, did you do so after Proclaim crashed, or after you restarted Proclaim? Does this happen on start up, or when you are opening a presentation?

I did not send the log from the first crash. I tried several times to restart, have uninstalled and re-installed twice, per phone instructions at Customer Service. My case number 91802 will show my calls.

This happens immediately after start screen disappears. I can not open a presentation, it doesn't get that far. Please call me.

Okay so now I am wondering if it has to do with the presentation data. I am able to sign in as you so it is not something synced. Could you try this:

Rename the PreferencesManager.db file to PreferencesManager.db.OLD, which should be located at C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Proclaim\Data\[string of characters]\LocalApplicationPreferencesManager

Then start Proclaim again and see if it starts up correctly.

Someone from tech support should be able to get a hold of you shortly. I have a feeling it has something to do with text in your presentation, which is causing the Program to crash when it tries to open the presentation. Could you send me the logs of the session after deleting the file here:

C:\Users\stabl_000\AppData\Local\Proclaim\Data\5jqphv0s.wo4\LocalApplicationPreferencesManager\PreferencesManager.db

Another thing to try. Hold down the CTRL key and start proclaim. This should bring up a two checkboxes in the sign in window. Please check the box next to 'Show start up wizard'. When you do this, does Proclaim crash? Or does it bring you to the setup wizard?

I really cannon sit by the phone another day. Can someone please call me and do the remote access to see what's going on? This is getting ridiculous! I'm starting to wish I hadn't talked our pastor out of stopping with this program.
