Home page says it is indexing but nothing is happening. I left it to index all night and it still reports 0%. The pause indexing does not work and when I try to use Logos it crashes after one or two minutes. I have rebooted several times. HELP!
Please advise what platform you are running on and post logs after a crash - details at https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Windows 7 SP1

Looking at your logs, there seems to be a problem with the resource "Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible"
Can you open to a blank layout?
Thanks Rich, but can you help me understand what a "blank layout" is?
but can you help me understand what a "blank layout" is?
A "blank layout" is one without any resources open.
If you hold the Ctrl key down when clicking on the Logos icon you will get a screen prompting you to log in. Pressing the log in button will cause Logos to open to a blank layout.
I am not quite sure why Rich is directing you to a "blank layout," but it can't hurt to try. [:)] Is your primary issue a crash or the indexing problem?
A "blank layout" is what is sounds like... a blank or "empty" layout. Sometimes a layout can become corrupted, which will cause crashes. To open to a blank layout on PC, I <believe> you press and hold the control key immediately upon startup.
Yes, I can achieve a "blank layout." But the problem persists even then.
Is your primary issue a crash or the indexing problem? Both. It continues to index but accomplishes nothing. When I try to use Logos while it is indexing it crashes. It will not let me pause or cancel indexing.
There is no clear indication of an issue from the logs so we will need to see the Windows Event viewer.
Thanks for your help with this.

I think we need to deal with this by removing the folder C:\Users\Donn\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\gvagcf3d.unc\LibraryIndex. When you restart Logos it will begin a lengthy index of your resources.
Thanks Dave. I will do so tonight and let it index overnight.
SUCCESS! Thanks to each of you.
