I just saw that Leonard Sweet, a Methodist preacher and scholar, has set up a web site composed of his personal resources. The cost $9.00. That adds resources at $9.00 per month - LOGOS Now adds no resources that I can use for the same dollar value.
Suggestion - see if LOGOS can add Sweets sermons and illustrations to its library. Here is his blurb from FACEBOOK:
==============================================================================

I have over a thousand files in my computer and cabinets on biblical images. Over the years I have taken notes and written down what I call "thunks and triggers" on a host of biblical images. It's time to begin to share them with preachers, and they will provide the backbone of the new preaching resource that went LIVE TODAY, www.preachthestory.com. Certain features of the website are free, and three features of the website require a monthly subscription (a weekly "standard sermon" based on the common lectionary, a weekly "story sermon" featuring a weekly "image exegesis based on a soon-to-be-developed story lectionary, and a short video blog called "Sweet Nothings" where I show how to move your preaching from illustrating points to animating experiences, narratives and metaphors (narraphors). A lot of the resources I've been posting on Facebook will be going to a new preaching blog that has yet to be named that will be filled with tips for preaching, resources for sermons, etc. This will be another free feature of the site. So please, SIGN UP TODAY. The first two sermons posted are "The Third Kiss" and "Sitting Shiva Behind Closed Doors." Please share the site with your connections as well. Thx!
