SOLVED: Searching author's works in basic search without creating collection
Noting the Search Fields List on the wiki, is there a way to actually use these in a basic search?
I want to know what So-And-So said about Such-and-Such. "I know He mentioned it someplace in his writings." Can I do this without having to create a collection? (I don't want to end up with hundreds of collections.) Something like
author:piper "George Whitefield"
or
author:"Bunyan, John" apollyon
Or how about
chufat:Clemment <John 3:16>
Is there a combination of <>[]{}() or other syntax that would make this work?

You can in Logos 6 using "on demand collections"

First specify "author:piper" in the Resources dropdown - in this example I would select the 23 resources in my library
Then run the required search against that "collection"

You need to click "All Resources" and enter "author:bunyan" there and then select your Bunyan resources

This was a new feature in Logos 6. It's called Quick Collections.
