If I create a slide with a bible passage and the speaker wants to read further, is there a way to quickly continue to the additional verses without editing the slide?

The quickest way to get a Bible verse on the screen is the On-Screen Bible quick screen. However, it sounds like you're wanting to continue a reference from within your presentation content. In this case the best thing to do is to add another slide right after the current slide with the additional reference content. This can be done seamlessly without taking the presentation off air.
So, there is no way to manually step through the scripture without the OSB rerunning the initial animation?
If the reference shown in your OSB item will not fit on a single slide it creates multiple. You can step through these slides using the arrow keys.
