Maintaining a song slide

Am I missing a setting somewhere?  Example is this... We added a song a couple weeks ago.  I have updated a song in Proclaim, adjusted the background, got the words spaced, etc.  A couple weeks later when I add the song to my list from Planning Center, I have to type in the CCLI number and the song shows up under "My Songs" so I click it... all my spacings/breaks import fine.  But it always goes back to a white background with left aligned text.  Once I saved my background and center alignment, shouldn't it all be saved with the CCLI/"My Song" and come back up when I load it?  So far, every time I bring in a song I've already added, I end up having to select the background every time and then center align the text.  That's a lot of added work if we have to change alignment and backgrounds every time I load a song.  Was hoping there's just some "Save formatting" that I'm overlooking.

I guess as well, when I import from PCO, is there a way to get Proclaim to pull the already formatted song from "My Songs" without requiring me to type in the CCLI number (or title) in the Title field?  That's the only way I've been able to get it to use the correctly "linked" format so far.  Again, maybe it's just me not knowing the system and I'm missing something.

The slide formatting (background, font family, size, etc.) is not saved in the song database. The song database only holds the lyrics, a few other related fields, and the custom order sequence.

You have a couple options. 

1) Save a lyrics text style and apply to all songs. 

2) Use the Reuse Items tool to select a fully formatted slide to reuse

I just looked at the code and it looks like we use the lyrics from PCO if they exist, then fall back to SongSelect if linked and there is a CLLI number in the PCO item. We should definitely prefer falling back to a My Songs lyrics if we can find a match before querying SongSelect. I think we should probably prefer the My Songs lyrics over the PCO lyrics as well. Will look into getting this fixed.
