Roy Gane studied at Berkeley under the late Jacob Milgrom, who was considered one of the leading biblical scholars on Leviticus and the sanctuary. Today the contributions of Milgrom and Gane on our understanding of the Israelite sanctuary service is well recognized worldwide.
