Song text sizing

Can an option be added to scale song text on a per-slide basis, rather than per-line?

For instance, if a slide contains one long line the current setting scales just that line, which is disruptive when trying to read along while singing.

If the entire slide were all the same font size, it would make following along much easier.

Proclaim attempts to keep the entire slide the same font size and not wrap any of the lines. Once a single line exceeds a threshold that would make all the text too small to be legible we shrink that line in isolation. This is meant to be a cue for the user to add a line break in the long line, something we can not do as well programmatically.

Is there a reason you want to avoid breaking up the long lines? If you don't want to break them up and are ok with the small text but just want it to be uniform you can reduce the font size of the lyrics.

I guess it's just a matter of preference. I think users would be more quick to fix the issue if an entire slide was too small to read, rather than one line which can be overlooked.

The behavior you describe was in place when we first shipped Proclaim. The resulting issue was users would try to increase the font size to no effect, resulting in support calls and forum posts. The single shrunken line helps highlight the offending text and has resulted in fewer support issues on our end.

We should show a warning when one of the lines is too long to fit which should help prevent missing the long line. Are you not seeing this warning?

We do see the warning, (at least I do). User training is probably the best fix to most of the issues we're having, but being a programmer, I'm always looking for the automated method.
