. . . going into beta withdrawal . . . can't stop typing "Update now" . . .

It's Monday, and I have been watching the forums all day eagerly awaiting beta 6. . . It's like Christmas all over again. What will I get? Verse Lists? Custom Highlighting? Optimized performance? I'm just not sure I can wait much longer. . . Update Now, Update Now, Update Now. . . . awww still no new updates available.

Wonder if they'll give us a macro language that's even more powerful that L3's so we can write a macro to:
- Update Now
- Repeat

We're planning to release the next beta later this week (once we can fix a few more bugs and add a few more features).

I know you're working hard, Bradley. Patience is a virtue not often practiced in the forums, I guess. [:D]

Better yet Bradley, why don't you wander over to Tom's desk and point out that your group is releasing beta's way faster than his group is releasing alphas because windows is an inherently better platform. [:|]

Edit: But I still visit the forums occasionally, just in case the feed has changed and I'm missing out! [:)]

Is it "later" yet? [:D] (I guess we never really get past the "are we there yet?" stage, it just gets focused on other things)

If we apply the time line concept of the "latter days" we may be here a while. (update, update, update). [:D]

well personally I am not having any issues with Beta 6, so would rather then take a few days more...

Dominic, How'd you get beta 6?[:D] I'm still on beta 5. It is extremely sluggish on my machine. Highlights don't apply until 10 secs after I click them and simply scrolling max's out my CPU due to the contant checking for parallel resources. I'm hoping for an optimized beta 6 soon.

sorry i stand corrected it is 5

OK this thread got me so excited (plus reading all the features in 4.0b), I think I am going to take the plunge - I'll watch, if there are no great steps backward with beta 6 I am jumping on the wagon! (or am I jumping off the wagon? jumping into the fire? frying pan? jumping off the cliff? I don't know....[8-)]
Pray for me....

DominicM,
I was just giving you a hard time. . . I understood what you meant. Glad your having no major issues with the beta, too. Every new release has been like Christmas to me. I'm hoping for verse lists this time. That will officially wean me off L3 forever.
