I was using Proclaim last night (latest version for Mac) and during the presentation, I hovered my mouse at the bottom where all of the slides are previewed in a row and the text in the slides would not display when the mouse hovered, just the background displayed. I know this is hard to explain but when you are presenting a song for example, all the slides in the song are previewed at the bottom in a row and you can hover your mouse over a given slide and the image will enlarge to display the text. When I tried this, the text would appear for about a second and then disappear and all I would see was the background. It did it with every slide in every song.
