Instead of searching for references to <Ex 20:2>,<Dt 5:6> suggest using Milestone search:
{Milestone <Ex 20:2>},{Milestone <Dt 5:6>}

You are searching "All Bible Text". There are no verse references in the "bible" field, so this will always return 0 results.
If you're wanting to find cross-references, try a Basic Search in all text. If you want to highlight the verses, see KS4J's {Milestone} suggestion.
