Tom Nettles has written an incredible Baptist History series (3 vols from Mentor/Christian Focus) that highlights key players throughout Baptist History.

Here is volume 1 on Amazon.

Would love to see this in Logos - it would be a great resource to get an overview of Baptist History and a helpful resource to return to regularly in order to review a particular individual's doctrinal persuasions.

I've been working my way through the print edition, and this series is part history, part biography, part historical theology, part Baptist manifesto.
