Yeah the books are what I was wondering. I have Gold and Crossgrade and Logos Now so unless I am missing something I have all the features.

David, persons like you and I are probably not the target audience. There are many who say a Base package is too expensive for them. 49.99 a month may be more up their alley, especially summer students who want access to a wide variety of books but just cannot justify the cost among other competing interests.

Now this looks interesting if I am understanding it correctly. I will gladly pay out $99.99 per month for access to the Collector's Edition. I spend at least that much on an average month now. I do note however that it says "the SIZE of Collectors Edition", not identical to it.
So, my main question at this point is, is it identical for the most part with the Collector's Edition, and if so, will new products that are produced be added as they are available.
Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

Phil's post at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/105182.aspx states that they are not identical:
"Logos Cloud libraries aren't identical to Logos 6 base packages. They're very different, with a heavy focus on our own content. We've also partnered initially with Baker, Wipf & Stock, Eisenbrauns, and The Gospel Coalition (a few other publishers are considering joining as well). We envision many more publishers joining in the coming months. In addition to this content, we've added various amounts of public domain content to make sure we have all the key categories covered appropriately in each library."

Yes, I see that, but if they are leaving out a significant amount of content, what are they replacing it with to make it the same size?

For now, mainly public domain content. We have thousands upon thousands of volumes of classic commentaries, theology, journals, grammars, etc. The top level includes virtually all of these.

So in other words, the only way to access meaningful content is to continue to buy the resources.

Depends on your perspective. As I mentioned, it has most of our own content and content from four publishers. We anticipate adding more modern content on a regular basis.
We do expect Logos Cloud subscribers to purchase content they need that's not included in our Logos Cloud libraries.

Don't shortchange PD works. I would rather have some PD works than modern works any day. Just depends on what you get.

How would that work for purchased items? Would Logos Cloud users have to access the regular Logos Bible App to access paid books?
If I could access my paid books plus add the extra datasets and books of the $99.99 Logos Cloud I would consider going to Logos Cloud and having a hybrid owned/rented library,MA in Christian Studies - Emphasis in Pastoral Ministry, Grand Canyon University

You have one account and one license. You'll be able to access all of your content, owned and subscribed, through the various apps.

Does this mean offline access to content subscribed, or does it require constant internet access?

Does seem like there should be a heartbeat check to disable subscription content if no heartbeat in over 30 days to prevent abuse. But hopefully not a requirement for always on.
Also wondering if there will be a minimum subscribe period to discourage people taking a month here, a month there?

Logos Cloud does not require constant internet access.
1. You can download and install Logos Cloud on your Mac or PC and work online or offline.
2. You can access Logos Cloud on our Mobile App.
3. You can access through the Web App (beta) in your browser.

Randy, I am hoping that you have the option to do just that. Summer students would need it on mainly in the summer. A writer for three months out of the year, etc..

We don't plan to enforce a minimum subscribe period. In fact, one of the benefits of Logos Cloud would be to have access only when you want to have it, giving the customer the ability to access whichever level of content they need, for whatever time period they need it. We are attempting to fill a market need for customers who don't want to own, but just want to have access to a service, to get Bible study tools and resources. We understand that a majority of our users prefer to own their resources, and have access all the time. We think there's another market that just wants to have tools and resources as a service.
