No sure why the text of the post did not show up but the attachments did.
I tried to run proclaim after windows 10 latest build install #10130. Get a spinning wheel for a second or two and then nothing. Tried to uninstall proclaim download the latest version and install it but the installation program will not run either.
Nothing interesting in the attached log and we don't have any known issues on Windows 10 so far... I'm interested in the installer logs which are located in the following directory
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Logos Log Files
Here are the logs.
5707.ProclaimSetup.log
7345.ProclaimInstall.log
Thanks for the logs. We're trying to reproduce and will post back when we have more info.
Thanks for the report, we were able to reproduce the problem and should have it fixed shortly.
Thank You
Any progress on this?
Sorry for not following up on this. That fix should have shipped with the last update. Are you still unable to install? If so please post the logs again.
Still not working.
I uninstalled completely, downloaded new and did the installation. It appeared to finish but would not launch. I have attached the log files.
8463.PrerequisitesInstall.log
8206.ProclaimInstall.log
3301.ProclaimSetup (1).log
Based on the logs it looks like the install was successful but the application fails to launch due to not being launched as admin. Proclaim should not be requited to run as admin. Did you by chance change a compatibility setting to always launch as admin? What happens if you right click on the icon and specify to run as admin?
We are unable to reproduce this issue on our test Windows 10 VMs.
When I run the install it does not act like it normally does in that it runs through the progress bar and then when the bar disappears there is nothing.
The icon then appears on the desktop but will not launch either normal or if ran as administrator.
When you try to run Proclaim by clicking the icon on the desktop do you see the Proclaim.exe process running in Task Manager? Do you see any errors listed in Windows Event Viewer?
