Lip Sync Issues

I've been searching for an answer to this issue to no avail. I even tried disabling hardware acceleration. Last Sunday (Father's Day) we had a video that the sound was several seconds ahead of the video. We meet in a converted theater and use 2 computers (one on a Vizio HDTV and one through a BenQ projector on the big screen). A 4x2 HDMI switch allows us to switch inputs and it splits audio from the video (on the projector) so we can run the audio through the sound board.
The HDMI switch died on us about 20 minutes before service so I plugged HDMI directly into my computer and ran an audio cord to the board. This is the setup that we usually use on the Vizio and there are no sync issues. Pastor wanted a clip from the end of The Drop Box played at the end of service so I switched my computer to play on the projector (the other computer, which is usually on the projector, has no DVD player).
Originally I thought that the reason for the lip sync issue was the change in the set-up, but the DVD clip had no lip sync issue. It played flawlessly. The only difference I can see is that I used VLC Media Player 2.2.1. to play the DVD.
Any suggestions? I am installing our back-up switch this evening, Lord willing it won't fail when there is no time to switch to a back-up.

Which presentation is this affecting? Also, just to clarify, did this happen when connected to the TV or the projector?

The projector. The presentation was June 21, 2015 Projector. The video in question was "Video: I'm Sorry, Dad" but another video had the audio finish almost 10 seconds before the video finished. That video is "Video: A Father's Day Prayer." I am suspecting that the problem is an issue that Windows Media Player has with MP4s and since Proclaim uses Windows Media Player on Windows machines that may be the problem. I have changed one of the settings in WMP on the computer in question and will try it again this afternoon when I get to the church.

Finally got a chance to test, still a delay in the video. I am running video via HDMI and audio via headphone jack to the sound board. Any suggestions to sync it?

So this is happening when connected from the computer directly (no switches, converters, etc.) to the projector, correct? What is the model of the projector? I am thinking it might be related to some input lag where the audio is reaching the projector before the video. If I get the model of the projector, I can check if it is a common problem, and see if there are any suggested workarounds.

Based on the title, I was worried you had Milli Vanilli performing at your church. [H]
(You'll need to be at least 40 to get that one.)

I'll have to check model # later. It is a BenQ.
When we run direct to the projector, which is rare, we run the audio directly to the sound board from the computer not through the HDMI cable. I checked to see if there is a lip sync setting on the projector (there is on the Vizio) but there wasn't on the projector.
Apparently our HDMI cable is having an intermittent issue so we are running new cables (a redundant one this time) through the attic on Friday, but some sort of way to sync these would be of help should we have to do this again.

Very kind of you to not assume I was over 40 [8-|]
