What happened to the "No Text" Quick Screen that would show whatever slide you had displayed but would remove the text? It is gone now. It is a must have item for songs and sermon notes for smooth transitions.
I'm not able to reproduce this on the latest Mac and Windows version. Could you provide a little more information on how you encountered the missing quick screen? It is worth noting that the "No text" quick screen will only show up if the current slide has foreground (text that it is editable in Proclaim) text.
The Quick Screen for "No Text" is just simply not there. It is not there with any slides showing. I had a motion song background and it was not there. I had an uploaded content picture that used to display sermon notes and it was not there either. It was there before the update. Is there any way to go back a version?
Are you on Mac or Windows? Are you using grid view whike controlling or the regular view? it is possible to install an earlier version but we should be able to get this resolved right away.
I don't know if my last post will show up but my acertation is flawed as I was, at the point the screen shot was taken in the pre-service loop.
When I moved into the service loop the 'No Text' slide appeared.
I am running MAC. I think it must have been a bad update install. I will try and reinstall it the next time I am at church. Something else I see in both versions on multiple computers is when you make a change to text in a song (words, font size, style, etc) you see the spinning update circle and it does not stop and actually update your text until you click away from that song and then go back to it. It does not happen all the time but more times than not.
Just a thought, what if your window is too small to show 'No Text'? It is the last quick screen in the list. Notice in my screenshot it does not show the 'No text' quick screen.
But if I move the mouse over to the quick screens, I can scroll and then see it.
The problem is if the screen is too small, the No Text Quick Screen is just not there. This is a bug and was not an issue in previous versions. You can't scroll down to see it because it is not there. Above the BLANK Quick Screen is a lot of empty space. We run on a standard 15" MBP and we cannot see that option unless we are running with no Timeline which stinks...please fix
Alright, I will make a case and take a closer look at this. Could you take a screenshot of the bug the next time you see it? Then post the screenshot here? It really helps to actually see it.
The scroll bar in the pictures is down as far as it will go and you can see that above the BLANK Quick Screen there is empty space.
Thanks Michael
Good news, I have finally been able to repro this. Turns out it only happens if you have scrollbars set to show 'Always' or are using a non-Apple mouse and have 'Automatically based on mouse or trackpad' set.
As a temporary workaround until we ship an update, you can go to System Preferences->General and select 'When Scrolling' in the middle of the page.
