Differing Counts of Resources

I have several tablets of varying age and size, both Android and Apple. They all have the latest OS. All of them have different resource counts. Android... 8,901 and 6,722. The iPads... 9103, 9022. On the PC I'm at 9,115. I purchased a Jurgen Moltmann library a week or two ago. All 11 books/resources show up in a search on the iPad Mini. On the Android tablets only two appear. Is there something I can do to get the library listing to refresh and show all the books I can read/download? Thanks!

On a giving mobile app (say, the Logos app), resource counts should be identical on mobile devices. The Resource count on Desktop will be different because the mobile apps include free resources whereas the Desktop app does not.
Differing resource counts nearly always indicate that the apps were not given enough time to finish Loading the library and/or indexing. A lot of background processing occurs and if you switch out of the app before that is finished, things can go awry.
Here's what I recommend, but before following this recommendation please note that on the Android side if you clear the app cache you will delete all downloaded resources. If you have 9,000 downloaded resources it's obviously going to take a very long time to download them again.
Therefore, on the Android side I recommend you do this one device at a time (which will allow you to still have a working device that you are not updating):
On the Android side:
1. Make sure you have a solid wifi connection.
2. Install the latest version of the app (4.6.1 for Android).
3. Clear the app cache and then start the app and Sign-in.
4. Navigate to the Library and wait for the Loading Library / Indexing to finish.
5. Do switch away from the Logos app or use the device until this process is complete.
On the iOS side:1. Make sure you have a solid wifi connection.
2. Install the latest version of the app (4.6.4 for iOS).
3. Navigate to the Home Page and enter "rebuild index" in the Reference field.
4. Navigate to the Library and wait for the Loading Library / Indexing to finish.
5. Do switch away from the Logos app or use the device until this process is complete.0 -
Kevin... Thanks much. Yes, I think I'm probably not in the app long enough for things to be fetched/refreshed. Have not downloaded many resources. Will look into your steps. Steve

“Rebuild index” has no effect at all on my iPad. I have just spent days downloading my Iibrary (20 books at a time because of constant crashing. Now the book counts are wildly out. It would be nice to get them correct so that I can be sure of what is and what is not downloaded.
I must admit that I am getting very frustrated.
Does anybody have an idea of how long it takes Logos Customer Services to respond?
Tony.
