The line with the version of Logos, plus the recent updates, appears, but then the program crashes.
Nice to solve my own problem! - Problem was caused by Lavasoft Ad-aware's TCP handler which was incorrectly intercepting internet access from Logos.

FWIW, 6.5 will include a workaround for this issue that should let you keep Lavasoft Ad-Aware installed but prevent it from crashing Logos 6.
