Writing a church bulletin
Are there templates within Verbum to assist me with church bulletin creation? Perhaps a lesson plan that is best adapted?

I.... wouldn't even dream of trying to force handouts to work for a church bulletin. It is a largely deprecated feature that never really performed as desired.
If you decide to go that route, I anticipate lots of patience training in your future.
Best bet: Make a word document, landscape, two columns. Done.
