I use to ctrl click verses in my library and they would appear in the copy verses tool. Has something changed?

Do you mean you used to ctrl-click on a verse reference in a resource or something else?

As far as I know I have never used this feature and don't see it documented anywhere.

To clarify
I open the ESV resourse, I open the copy verses tool.
I open a note.
I want to copy a verse to the note.
I hi lite a verse. Previous to yesterday the hi lited verse would appear on the copy verse tool. Now it does not.
Additionally when I am in a library resource I could hyperlink and the verse would appear in the tool.
To copy a verse now I must enter the address in the copy verse tool each time.
For me, when I highlight a resource in a Bible it updates the Copy Bibles Verses tool
This also works for me
But for it to work it requires the tool to be set to "Follow" as shown below
