My Logos 6 version is 'stuck' at 6.3.0.0056. Every time it attempts an update is reports "install failed".
Suggestions?
Downloaded the 6.5 install.exe file and tried that. It too failed... gave this error message:
Error writing to file: C:\Users\Hugh DeLong\AppData\Local\Logos4\System\nl\Libronix.DigitalLibrary.resources.dll. Verify that you have access to that directly.
I checked for that file, only 3 files in this directory - and this one is not there.
Libronix.DigitalLibrary.Guides.resources.dll
Libronix.DigitalLibrary.ViewModels.resources.dll
LogosIndexer.resources.dll
All three files dates 8/6/2015
Folder ownership is likely the problem - see https://community.logos.com/forums/p/113828/753963.aspx#753963 (apply it to your Logos4 folder).
Thanks. I attempted to do this, but when I looked at the Logos4 folder - it had no subfolder named 'System'... I ran the install.exe program, when it failed, I checked the folder (before closing the install.exe warning) and it appeared. I attempted to change, believe I did, but it didn't fix it.
So, I did the temporary run as Admin and it upgraded. Then, I again checked the Logos4 folder and there again is no "system" folder in it. ???

The \Logos4\System folder is created during the update and then renamed to something like 6.5.0.0027 if successful, else it is deleted.
So you apply the Ownership change to the parent \Logos4 folder, which then propagates the change to all sub-folders. Do that now to avoid having to "Run as administrator" with every update.
