First time Logos customer, Win 10 and getting LogosSetup.exe Unable to download a required file

Hi...

Just purchased my Base Package.. Never had or used Logos before on any PC..

Long time eSword user finally making the switch to Logos..

But I cant get past the LogosSetup..

I have tried all the suggestions in the Support section on this issue..

Turing off all firewall and Antivirus software, Insured that BTIS was up and ok and even reset it..

Rebooted my PC several times..

But still cant get the LogosSetup to run..

Any help or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Make sure you are using the latest Logos Setup file. Go to

https://www.logos.com/product/46767/logos-6-core-engine

and download from the link on that page. I had the same problem recently and that solved it.

Often an installation will not work if another is pending.

Just a guess but has windows 10 recently downloaded an update that it is trying to install?

Maybe it has scheduled a restart which it has not yet made happen ?

Start button/Settings/Update&Security

Does it say windows is up to date ?

I peeked at the updates and found that windows updates were not downloading!

so i google and found http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_update/windows-10-update-just-hangs-cant-restart-or-stop/21d80d88-1bed-4a9d-af30-21594057ddf4?auth=1

I ran the Windows Update troubleshooter as suggested in the article. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9830262

This fixed the problem and I was able to download and update Win 10.

The Logos setup worked too and all is well!! Praise God!!

Just saw this.. Glad you got it working David..

When I had this issue, I just tried again the next day and all the sudden it worked..
