Pics in my docx files not showing up in PP in Logos

Hi All.. I have had this happen a couple of times and wonder if anyone knows what the issue may be and the solution..

First time I converted some PowerPoint slides I have into Word.. It all looked good in Word but when I built my PP all the Pics were gone and just the text..

And just tried the Jerusalem Explored docx here on page 2 and same thing.. All the Pics were gone..

Do I have to set it as a specific "type" to get Pics to show up?

Using MS office 2010..

Rodney,

it may help if you try saving the docx-file as rtf (former Word 2003 format) and open the rtf with word and save as docx. If this doesn't help, check the text wrapping in the picture formatting: it seems the PB compiler only understands Text Wrapping set to In Line

If, after Mick's pointers, it still doesn't work, try saving the pics as separate files, deleting them from the .docx, and inserting them via Insert-->Picture.

Unless the PB compiler has changed since I last noticed posts on this issue, the compiler requires a specific disk location for the image in order for the pics to be in the resource. That is, a picture that is merely pasted into the .docx via the clipboard generally doesn't get compiled.

This is true. One must use the insert function for images. If that is not working then we have a problem.

Thank you.. Actually not pasting it.. I will give that a try but even if it works I doubt I will have the time to do all that. I have 100’s of old antique pictures of the Holy Land and surrounding areas with descriptions of each Pic telling when it was taken and what its of. . They are on Power Point Slides and I got so excited when I found out I can easily convert the PP slide into a word Doc. But then found out it still did not work.

Maybe when I retire I will have more time do these.. Would love to have them in my Logos.

I know the wiki says that, but I'm not sure it is true anymore.

Just for testing I pasted a picture into a Word document and compiled it - works like a charm. (If opening the docx with 7zip I'll find that Word saves this in a media subfolder as image1.png - not the origional file name or format). Note that Text Flow is inline, though. On the other hand, changing that will not disable showing the picture.
