Now that there seems to be more interest in Community Pricing, I am forming a new club, "The Maximum Bid Club." To join just change all your bids in community pricing to the highest possible bid.
There is little possibility of having to pay this much for the book, the low bidders and "Last Weekers" (those who only bid in the last week when enough bids have been placed to put the book into production) will always drive the price down to a level less than the maximum price. However, if you are going to join this club, don't be playing games with Logos. I have been doing this for years now and have never once paid anything close to my maximum bid, however if it did happen I plan to stick by my bid.
So why do this? First of all, it is both fun and satisfying to get those emails informing you that the final price is way under your bid. For example:

But most importantly, is it will hopefully push Community Pricing books into production quicker. Not only are there a lot of "Last Weekers" out there, but there are a lot of members of the "Low Bidder Club" those who are really not really serious about their unrealistically low bids and will raise their bids the moment they think they might miss out on the discount. There are so many "Last Weekers" and "Low Bidders" out there that sometimes during that last week the final price can dramatically fall.
So if you want to join just raise all your bids to the maximum amount possible and post here saying you are now a proud member of the "Maximum Bid Club"!
