Baltimore Catechism
I was also curious if there are any plans to add the old Baltimore Catechism to Verbum? I know it is something that is still referenced here and there, and it is still fun to look through

Hi Chris, if you are able to build a Personal Book in your system, a file was posted that you would use to build Baltimore Catechism 4:

Notwithstanding, it's stunning that the Baltimore Catechism is not already in Verbum.

Wouldn't the Baltimore Catechism be public domain? If so, it would be a perfect candidate for Community Pricing.

There were multiple editions put out by different publishers, and the ones that are still in print and that people remember from the 1950s are not necessarily in the public domain. Basically, we just need to sort through the editions and figure out the best one that is clearly public domain and find a good source for it. (I'm not really sure about the provenance of the Project Gutenberg text. From the notes in the files, it sounds like may be a hodgepodge.)
Anyway, not too difficult, but not the slam dunk that it seems like at the outset. We'll look into it and see if we can figure it out.

I figured it had to be something like that. I do recall trying to find a paper copy a few years ago and getting quickly confused at the various editions and wondering what the differences were between them all. If you guys can do that sorting for me, I'll happily buy the Verbum edition. [:D]
