Linking Greek Lexicons

I have the following resources linked together:

BDAG

EDNT

ANLEX

TDNT

Louw-Nida

WSNTDICT and

Enhanced Strong's Lexicon

Pasting the Greek word ἀπαγγέλλω in each resource's reference box finds a listing for that word in every one of the resources.

The problem comes in pasting the word into one box and letting the linking help locate the same word in the other resources. For example in the order above I get a reference to

BDAG: ἀπαγγέλλω

EDNT: ἀπαγγέλλω but the resource box has changed to 'announce'

ANLEX: ἀναγγέλλω

TDNT: ἀναγγέλλω

Louw-Nida: ἀναγγέλλω

WSNTDICT: ἀναγγέλλω

Enhanced Strong's: Strong’s Greek #311 and this word is ἀναβολή

Returning to BDAG I am now looking at ἀναβολή

I don't recall having this trouble in 3.0. There I could cycle through resources using the left and right arrows and rarely get off-track. I realize the issue with the way various lexicons handle some Greek words, but the current situation just isn't working for me.

Is there another way to select a Greek word and have it looked up in one Lexicon and then without pasting the word into each successive lexicon find the proper entry in those lexicons or is this a bug?

It appears that it is impossible to cycle through lexicons. This is a big hole. Also, selecting a new Tab from a lexical entry does not bring up a list of resources containing the same entry as it does for bible references or for bible dictionary topics.

    Damian, you are correct.

I rechecked the behavior of linking with Greek lexicons in 3.0 and the ones I tried (same as those listed above) all maintain the Greek word in the resource window and I can cycle between them. The problem I'm having seems to stem from the fact that what comes up in the resource window in 4.0 is not always the Greek word, but can become an English word. This then messes up the linking. Cycling back and forth through some of the resources gets you really far from the original word. I think some work needs to be done on this issue. I'd also like to see the 3.0 way of cycling through parallel resources (if there's a way to specify which ones) as easily as you can in 3.0.

    Mark,

There should be a way to do this, when it is enabled. We no longer have parallel resources. We have "prioritized" (can't we pick a word that is the same in US and English English!) or "preferred" resources in our library. Have you set these up?

If/When this is enabled, we should then be able to right and left arrow through our lexicons the same way we can through bible dictionaries.
