What added bundle did you buy MJ?
I had the bundles that were most important to me but decided it was time to test the waters of the apologetics bundle.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Yes, the comparison chart and upgrade data is taking a leisurely route towards rolling out. Hopefully the cache will be up to date by morning.
The Orthodox packages are not yet populated into the base package comparison tool. Is this the cache update delay you are referring to?
Edit: Also, the same-family "compare all products" shows the Standard base packages instead of the new Orthodox packages. I'm guessing this one is the cache not yet up to date.

Ooh, I can see The Antioch Bible is in Platinum. That's tempting.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

Gabe,
Just FYI, the monthly costs on the logos.com/orthodox page are broken. They display the wrong amount, and the link doesn't work.
The amounts should be hidden when dynamic pricing drives the price low (I don't get offered monthly pricing on Starter or Bronze on the individual product page). And for Silver, this page says $19/mo, but the product page says $20.66.

Thanks, Mark, I've reported this to our web team. It looks like those pop-ups are broken on other pages (/anglican, for example).

I don't see that in my cart
Update: now it works, thanks!

Gabe, just for your information;
EDITED:
Don't trust my eyesight, I really am legally blind and thought I owned a resource but I do not.

The discounts on featured products (theoretically) shown after adding an Orthodox base package to one's cart don't seem to be working. Not that any of those products are Eastern Orthodox!
Please let us know once the Compare feature is working on Orthodox packages--I'm tired of checking. [:P]

It seems to be really deeply discounted as well, my price for Platinum over Gold was to increase the cash cost by about a third when the "value" of resources almost doubled (largely due to the Antioch Bible)

Usually we see a 15% off discount when a new base package is introduced. Will we see that on the Orthodox base packages?

The comparing chart is broken just so you know Gabe, dunno who is the person to fix that though...

I see the introductory savings is already built-in the pricing. When I placed a base package in my cart the savings was apparent.Super.Tramp said:Usually we see a 15% off discount when a new base package is introduced. Will we see that on the Orthodox base packages?

Correct. But to answer your original question, yes, these are 15% off across the board.

Shouldn't at least the Orthodox Platinum have the Gottingen Septuagint?
https://www.logos.com/product/4951/gottingen-septuagint
This is a major omission. If it were included, with upcoming volumes automatically added in as they were processed, I would buy the Platinum set immediately, in all likelihood.

Given that packages are standardized across traditions by value and price, I suspect paring out the value of resources equivalent to the Gottingen LXX would leave us with a rather unbalanced package. My experience is that Eastern Rite Catholics and Orthodox are probably more interested in patristics and traditional liturgical/spirituality resources. And it does include the Antioch Bible.[Y]

I don't see how that would be a major omission personally, but there are licensing and distribution limitations that would prevent us from doing so either way.

Since the Gottingen Septuagint is the standard critical edition of the LXX, leaving it out in a religious tradition that treats the LXX as inspired would be like having a Roman Catholic base package (Verbum) that leaves out, even at its very highest level, the standard critical edition of the Vulgate.
I suspect, though, that my interest in the package here may be different from that of some other commentators, as I am looking at it for its scholarly value, and, based on my theological position and my view of the 10 Commandments and many other passages, am not especially interested in the resources on how to worship before images or become deified, but in the material that has scholarly value for Biblical exegesis and on the history of Christendom.
Thanks.

The problem with your scenario is assuming there will never be an Orthodox base package higher than Platinum. Maybe they are saving Gottingen Septuagint for a Portfolio package.

What you appear to be saying is that you are not interested in an Orthodox package as the Orthodox rarely separate scripture from worship or deification from Bible study. What needs to be understood is that much of Protestant Christianity place the Bible at the center whereas much on the remainder of Christianity places worship at the center because it is in worship that Scripture is the living Word of God not dead inked words on a page. The Eastern/Oriental Church tradition is without a doubt the most holistic thread of Christianity. If you are not interested in Orthodoxy as it is, then the Orthodox packages are not intended for you. You should expect to pick up the resources of interest to you individually or in some base "original languages/manuscripts" type bundle. However, it is perfectly appropriate to express your opinion ... it may well direct Gabe's attention to another market to target.

Faithlife has already addressed that market with Septuagint Bundle, XL (93 vols.)

Dear Mr. Martini,
Thanks for the info. I still wish it was in a base package, though!
Dear M. J. Smith,
Just for your information, I'm not a Protestant, but a Baptist, concerning whom, in the words of a non-Baptist historian: "The Baptists may be considered as the only Christian community that has stood since the days of the apostles, and as a Christian society has preserved pure the doctrine of the Gospel through all the ages."
I also love worship, and think that the Bible is the rule for worship. Because of this, we think that we are not to bow down in front of graven images when doing it.
I thought it would be worth mentioning this because I would not view the characterization made above as accurate, though, I'm sure, this was entirely unintentional.
That is not to say there is not useful stuff for someone with my theological perspective in an Orthodox base package; in every type of base package there is stuff that is useful and stuff that is not so much, but the overall discount frequently makes it worth obtaining.
Thanks.

Yeah as a former Baptist, that's about as inaccurate as you can get man... PM me if you want to discuss it.

Thanks for all the work.
Had to copy and paste all of the 'New To Me' items from each package as the 'dots' in the compare all did not copy and paste.
Got Gold and $120 worth of the items not in that set. Plus an Item that is on Pre Pub.
