Church Conflict Logos Resources

Hi,
I am looking for easy, readable, useful, Biblical, church conflict books within Logos especially for a new pastor with real life scenarios/possible solutions (bathed in prayer, fortified in humility), etc.
...the sort of thing you wished they taught in Seminary but do not.
Blessings,
joshua

Hi gentlemen,
I have a great trick I've found that helps you extract the sections in your library that specifically have application-oriented content (anything that covers the best ways to act on a subject/principle). I own Chaplain's, and when studying a subject like "Forgiveness", for example, you often want to look at the Steps Of Forgiveness that different authors might provide in their books to see how you can walk someone through a grievance they have (or yourself for that matter!). Chaplain's is the best package for obtaining a large amount of that content, but what's the best way to find those particular sections of a book? Currently, Logos doesn't really do the heavy-lifting in that area, but I found a way that's pretty close! Let me know if you have any ways to tweek it.
HOW TO FIND APPLICATION-ORIENTED SECTIONS:
Either use an application-type collection that you already created or just use Logos’ filters (by opening Search, then click on “Everything” and type “counseling” in the Find Box and it should generate the number of books you have in your library that are tagged as counseling. Click on that number, and those books will become your search range.) For me, I just select the “Application” collection that I have created, then change the filter to “All Text”, and enter this command (For example, if you are studying forgiveness and want to specifically find things like the "steps of forgiveness" to recommend to people):
forgiveness AND ([field heading] “steps for”, ”steps to”, application, tips, ”activity”, activities, ”ways to”, "what to do", homework, ”practical ways”, ”practical steps”, ”practical exercises”, exercises, assignment, "thought and discussion", ”discussion questions”, "for discussion", "discussion topics", "discussion point", ”guidelines for”, ”guidelines of”, "for reflection", "reflection questions", "questions for", "study questions", "think about", "link to life", "to the secret place", "digging in", "community builder", "consider this", "action points", "ideas for", "today's experiment", "reshaped lives", "action steps", "group study")
If you are studying confrontation, then just replace the word “forgiveness” with “confrontation” in the string above. Make sure you select "Match all word forms" as well.
Let me know how that goes!!

Initial topical search for Conflict, Counsel, or Counselor (in heading or surface text after ## words of an application heading):
([field heading, largetext, surface] conflict, counsel, counselor) AFTER 88 WORDS ([field heading, largetext] action, activity, application, assignment, attitude, build, characteristic, change, community, consider, contemporary, council, credential, devotion, digging, discussion, exercise, experiment, fuel, "group study", guideline, homework, idea, pitfall, practical, question, reflection, reshape, "secret place", step, talk, think, tip, "to life", "to live", walk, ”ways to”, "what to", wisdom, work, write)

Hope for the Heart Biblical Counseling Library (102 vols.) has Footnote, Large, and Surface text fields for searching, but noticed initial search had two results in Biblical Counseling Keys on Conflict & Resolution
Logos 6 Help documents search fields:
Modified search to include words that can begin open ended questions: how, who, why along with changing "what to" to what plus some words used by June Hunt in Large Text. Searching Everything for topical word(s) in heading or surface text after ## words in a heading now includes more results in Hope for the Heart Biblical Counseling Library (102 vols.)
([field heading, headtitle, largetext, surface] conflict, counsel, counselor) AFTER 88 WORDS ([field heading, headtitle, largetext] action, activity, application, assignment, attitude, build, characteristic, change, community, consider, contemporary, council, credential, devotion, digging, discussion, exercise, experiment, fuel, going, "group study", guideline, homework, how, idea, pitfall, practical, question, reflection, reshape, resolution, "secret place", step, talk, think, tip, "to life", "to live", "types of", walk, ”ways to”, what, who, why, wisdom, work, write)
Changed topical search to confront plus added method (from usage by June Hunt):
([field heading, headtitle, largetext, surface] confront) AFTER 88 WORDS ([field heading, headtitle, largetext] action, activity, application, assignment, attitude, build, characteristic, change, community, consider, contemporary, council, credential, devotion, digging, discussion, exercise, experiment, fuel, going, "group study", guideline, homework, how, idea, method, pitfall, practical, question, reflection, reshape, resolution, "secret place", step, talk, think, tip, "to life", "to live", "types of", walk, ”ways to”, what, who, why, wisdom, work, write)

Hi, Joshua:
The easiest to read (but hardest to implement) steps are in Matthew 18:15. I have seen many church fights conflicts in seven decades, and none followed the Jesus Plan.
May the Lord guide you as you pour oil on troubled waters,

I second this. Used it in a real church situation, albeit after a split had occurred (I arrived 3 years later.) It taught several important things, such as reframing the value of conflict or dissecting "what is true forgiveness" and gave numerous examples of conflict and growth through it.

Jack, I have seen MT 18 work successfully. When I was newly married, long, long ago, our pastor once began doing something rather serious. My very young wife knew and chose to go to him in Mt 18. She was scared to death but thought it was Biblical to go and so went humbly. The pastor listened to her, admitted his fault, apologized and then preached a sermon about it the next Sunday. The problem ended--and I would guess it saved a serious church conflict.
I will never forget that important lesson.

God bless:
Totally awesome, thanks for sharing.
Another way to do it is go to a topical type resource like:
https://www.logos.com/product/15542/the-new-thematic-concordance
https://www.logos.com/product/43263/the-a-to-z-guide-to-finding-it-in-the-bible
https://www.logos.com/product/1227/where-to-find-it-in-the-bible
https://www.logos.com/product/2257/find-it-fast-in-the-bible
See if conflict in church, small groups, etc. is there, see what passages of the Bible apply, and then use the technique suggested by Dave Moser:
https://blog.logos.com/2014/06/how-do-you-use-logos-dave-moser/
A method not as sophisticated as KS4J's, but maybe you will get different results.
Blessings.
