Accessing Sermon Audio Recording links post publishing

Today we tried the sermon audio recording function. It worked much better than I expected (we have lots of problems on Sundays with the remote app and I figured we'd have problems with this feature as well.)

After I got home from the church and had lunch, I published the sermon audio file and shared it with our facebook page. This went very well (the audio quality leaves a bit to be desired--but that is our issue, we need to get a cleaner feed into the laptop we use to project with.)

Tonight, after coaching soccer, having dinner and saying goodbye to some guests who came over to watch some soccer with us, I got back on the laptop and wanted to post the sermon to the church's website. That was when I realized I had a problem. I don't know how to get the embed code without republishing the sermon. I republished the sermon, got an embed code and successfully published the sermon on the church's website (again that went very well.)

Now when I go into the church's faithlife.com group the sermon is published twice. Obviously this isn't good for clogging up the timeline of the group, but also for Faithlife as you don't need to be storing multiple copies of the same sermon.

How do I get the embed codes, or share to facebook/twitter/email/etc AFTER the sermon is originally published? (I'll probably want to drop a link into a mailchimp mailing later in the week and don't want to re-publish it again.)

Peace & Blessings,

Colin+

Hello Colin, I'm glad it went well for you and thanks for sharing. You can access share links directly from soundfaith.com from the details view of the sermon you'd like to share.

or you can open the recording in Proclaim and click the "Last published" hyperlink to open the screen you see on a successful publish with the links.

We plan to enhance the embed widget to support automatically showing your last published sermon as well as allowing browsing and selecting previous sermons. We don't want our users to have to do anything but click publish each week!

Thanks Scott! I knew there had to be a way other than what I had done (didn't occur to me that the last published date would be a link.) I look forward to trying it again next week.

    Peace & Blessings,
