Numbering of paragrpahs in Sources of Catholic Dogma

I know there are two different numberings for the Sources of Catholic Dogma book (though I can never keep straight which is the old numbering and which is the new). One is sequential and the other (in parentheses) has gaps. As far as I can tell, the Church documents that cite the DS tend to use the numbering found in the parentheses. Which means that some of those references are missing from the version in my Verbum library.

Is the version in Verbum the new version or the old one? Are there plans to produce the other version that is not currently in Verbum?

In the course of my reading, I came across a reference to some paragraphs that are not in the Sources book in Verbum. So now I really want to see the reference. Stick out tongue

Sources of Catholic Dogma is a translation of the 30th edition of Denzinger. We added the numbers (in parentheses) from the 34th edition (edited by Adolf Schönmetzer and thus known as Denzinger-Schönmetzer or DS), so that (where the 30th edition contains the text) we could handle references from the Catechism and other more recent works that use that numbering.

The 30th edition contains most of what's in the 34th edition, but not all of it, so where the 30th edition is missing something that was added to the 34th, we don't (yet) have a source. We've made efforts to license the current, 43rd, edition, but have not been successful so far.

    Please keep trying!

Ah, thanks. That clears up that mystery. I knew there were several editions, but didn't realize they were up to 43! I would definitely like to see current edition in Verbum.
