I want to use a video of the band playing live that we saw at one of our youth confefrences. I have the mp4, and uploaded it and imported it as a background, but when I change slides it starts over, and there is no audio.
Hi Kris, I don't really have the best answer for you. Are you trying to use this video as a background for a song?
If you want the video to not restart when you advance to the next slide, you will have to go to the media browser and click the loop button.
Then you will have to re-add this video as the background for the item you want.
As for the audio, we currently only play the audio from videos in a video service item. This is something that we plan to change in the near future, as others have wished for something similar to you.
So I guess you have two options: simply play the video in a video service item with audio and no text, or play the video as a background with text and no audio..
or, and please correct me if I am wrong Jordan, 'cos this is from memory...
I think I did something similar with a video of a hymn. I set the video as background, extracted the sound track and added it under the 'add audio' and then put the words on as foreground.
It was so much trouble that I never did it again (and that is why I am not bothering to run a test to (re)prove the concept)
But if you really want it you could give it a try Kris.
Yes Mike, this is a potential work around (I have done this too). However, I didn't mention it here because you can't really guarantee that the audio and video will still be in sync after separating them and adding them like this.

That is why I found it too much trouble to repeat -- most of the time it was ok -- then we had a close up of the vocalist -- oops.
