Pasting Scripture into Other Applications Question

Greetings,
I have not purchased Logos yet because I have a question about pasting Scripture into other applications, such as Microsoft Word or Facebook, etc.
The question is, can we paste Scripture into those other applications from the apps themselves? In other words, I'm in Word writing a document and would like to paste Genesis 1:10-15 into the document. Is there an easy way other than going to Logos, copying the passage, then going back to Word and pasting?
Thank you in advance for any help.
Mike

Yes, most of the time. There is a feature called 'Smart Tags' that will do this, when it is working. It seems to break every time there is an update to either Logos or to MS Word.
AFAIK, this is an unsupported feature. Here's a link with some more info.

In addition, from Logos it can be a tad easier than 'copying and pasting', as Logos does support native links to MS Word and Excel. In the Print/Export tool in any resource, you can choose to send selected text to an open Word document, a new Word document, or in some instances, an Excel document.

Thank you for the response. Can you tell me if the Smart tags work right now? Or are they broken because of an update in Word or Logos?
Also, what about pasting passages into browser windows, such as Facebook, etc.? Is there an easy way to do that?
Thank you again for your help.

I can't because I never use them.
Since you have this specific question, I strongly suggest you explore the forums, particularly the Logos 6 and General forums, and read the various posts with some kind of wording like, "Smart tags broken", and so on. You will likely learn what you need to know.
I'm sure other users who DO use smart tags will see this and post in the next day or so, and they'll have more details than I have, I'm sure.
Wish I could be more help.

You didn't mention if you use a Mac or PC, but if you use a Mac, there's a "Replace with Passage" service that allows you to paste scripture into just about any application, including a browser, if you wanted to paste into Facebook.

I'm sorry, I use Windows 10; anything for us?

The "Copy Bible Verses" tool has a hotkey that works in other applications. By default, it's Ctrl+Alt+B (but that can be changed in the CBV panel menu).
When you're working in your other application, press Ctrl+Alt+B; Copy Bible Verses will open, you can enter the verse then click "Copy" or "Copy and Paste" to send it to the other application. (Additional keyboard shortcuts: Alt+C for Copy, Alt+P for Copy and Paste.)

Bradley, that is absolutely wonderful, exactly what I was looking for. I just purchased and downloaded Logos and the copy paste function is perfect. Thank you so much.
