Linking glitches, need unlink option

I reported this ealier about typing "Am I...." which brings up Amos 1 even though I am not referring to a verse, now I also find typing "So I..." also links to Song of Solomon 1.

This is starting to appear in my notes especially within sermons. I know this may not be a hugh issue, how many times are you going to type "am I or so I", but an "unlink" button in notes would be great.

Did not see another article with this, if has been addressed I apologize.

You can remove a link that you don't want by selecting it, then deleting the target in the link box at the box and pressing "enter". The link returns to normal text.

You can either select 'So I' or just have your cursor on it, then click into the box on toolbar below formatting buttons, select 'Song of Solomon 1', press Delete key and press Enter. I recommend that you first continue typing a few more words before you do this, though, because once you press spacebar after 'So I', the hyperlink will be recreated. I'm not sure if there is a way to resolve this, as the program is designed to recognize Bible book abbreviations.

MS Word is also designed to recognize certain abbreviations and substitute other words for them (using AutoCorrect), but if you press Backspace immediately, it understands that you didn't want that particular substitution done this time. For example, in Word, if I type (c) it gets turned into ©, but if I really wanted a c between parentheses (which I do sometimes -- that's how I mark people's cell phone numbers vs. home numbers in my address book), then all I have to do is press Backspace after the © shows up and it turns back into (c) with my cursor immediately to the right of it, and I can keep typing from there. It's really nice. Maybe Logos could do something like this with unintended links. For example, if I type "Am I" and then hit Space, and Logos turns into a link to Amos 1, then I could press Backspace, and rather than deleting the space at first (because that would get me into an infinite cycle), Logos would return the "Am I" to plain text with no link. How 'bout that? That would be pretty slick!

UPDATE: Alternatively, instead of Backspace, perhaps a different keystroke for Logos, since in the Logos case you have to type Space to get the link to appear, whereas in Word you don't. Ctrl+Z might be the right thing (though it could be confusing). Another idea: maybe there could be an alternate keystroke you could type (instead of Space) to tell Logos "don't turn what I just typed into a link" when you type something that might otherwise be parsed as a reference. Perhaps Ctrl+Space would do it.

Good point. Better to have a quick option for unlinking if you don't want it. I'm rethinking my suggestion, and I believe Ken & Melissa's solution of deleting the hyperlink if it gets created when you don't want it is sufficient. I'm not sure why it didn't work for Whyndell. The first time I tried it, it didn't work for me either, but then I realized it was because I was pressing Tab after deleting the text from hyperlink box, instead of Enter. When I pressed Enter, it worked.
