Android remote memory issue

One of the third-party tools we use in the Android version of the remote has introduced a memory leak in the app on Android 5.0 devices and above. This means that when controlling large presentations, you may experience some lag in the remote, incorrect slides being shown, and potentially a crash if the memory usage gets too high.

I'm currently looking into a solution, but in the mean time there are a few options if your workflow requires the remote:

1. If your device is on Android pre-5.0, then don't update.

2. If you have an older Android device lying around pre-5.0, you could connect it to your wifi at church and use it just as a remote.

3. You could get an iPhone/iPod/iPad (This is the Apple fan in me coming out! [:D])

Hopefully we will have a solution soon.
