It might just be my computer, but doing simple things like switching from one tab to another, or selecting text in a Bible using the mouse, or applying a highlight to selected text all cause CPU usage to jump to 100% for 1 or 2 seconds. This is on a fairly modern, dual-core Thinkpad T61 with 3GB RAM. Applying a highlight to selected text is especially bad, "hanging" Logos for up to 5 seconds while the mouse becomes jumpy and CPU sits at 100%.
I'm not sure what's changed since beta 10 but this behavior appeared with beta 11 and persists even after restarting Logos and after rebooting the entire machine.
Is performance testing planned at this point or is it planned for a later time in the beta cycle? Perhaps some baseline performance tests to compare performance of various Logos builds with each other to detect regressions / improvements should be considered. Something like the automated performance testing used by the Eclipse team might help to keep performance stable and automatically detect regressions.
