I find it odd/problematic that the double click which generally opens an item, in the prayer list marks the item as completed. Is this inconsistency intentional?
This is by design and is consistent with the Reading Plan on the home page ribbon. They are both meant as a reminder and both provide an Edit button to edit the prayer, prayer list or reading plan. The difference is that a reading plan is meant to open a resource to a reading, which is not the case for a prayer.
I understand your answer but to me it only makes it stranger. "it's like the reading plan except it doesn't open the resource" is an odd design response to my thinking that the prayer list should open the resource.
However, I'll admit that I don't use the prayer list quite as intended, partially because the implied theology behind it strikes me as bizarre (but common). It still seems to me that a double click should be "open" as it is elsewhere regardless of the completion flag but if it doesn't bother others, I'll live with it.
This prayer list is only in the Beta? If so, when will it be available to all? If not, how do I access it?
But what resource would it open? There isn't a resource associated with a prayer list, as there is with a reading plan. For the most part, the reminder on the ribbon is all you'll need--nothing needs to be clicked or open until you're ready to mark the prayer as completed for that day. If you want to see the details of the prayer, you would click Edit, as you do with the reading plan.
Mark,
The Prayer List feature will be available in version 4.0b, which is currently in beta testing. The 4.0b update may be available in the next few weeks.

But what resource would it open?
I would expect/ I did expect it to open the details of the prayer. The Notes section is the primary element I use in prayer lists. I adapted the prayer list to me useful to me. I understand that it is designed primarily for petitionary and intercessory prayer. Following Richard Foster, these represent 2/15th of the types of prayer. I'm trying to mutate Logos into closer to 13/15th.

I can submit a request for this to be considered -- to be able to click (single click should work) on a prayer to view its details.
I would appreciate it. Thanks.
